Rural Impact Canada enables dense and diverse development in small and rural municipalities across Canada by providing solutions that address their shared complex challenges and barriers. Our programs focus primarily on water and wastewater infrastructure development and alternative solutions that unlock development opportunities.
The Rural Impact Canada Board is made up of industry leaders and experts who will help drive the strategic direction of our programs and scaling strategy across Canada. The Board is responsible for developing and managing our governance and strategic direction.
We develop programs and products and implement solutions that increase housing productivity in rural and small municipalities across Canada. Rural and small municipalities have untapped potential and are critical in addressing housing and affordability across Canada. When rural and small municipalities are provided with solutions to address current challenges and barriers that impact development, more housing can be built faster and cheaper, reducing the overall strain across the county. Our primary focus has been on utilizing Municipal Service Corporations (MSCs) as a tool to support water and wastewater servicing solutions and strategically plan for long-term development. Housing requires water and wastewater servicing, and our MSC Program delivers solutions to municipalities to unlock new housing units.
